Rooted in ancestral wisdom and guided by science, Jessica Divine is redefining what modern wellness looks like. As a generational herbalist, holistic educator, and founder of Herbal Renaissance, her work extends far beyond products. It centers on empowerment, accountability, and healing at the root.
What began as a personal health journey has evolved into a multidimensional wellness brand spanning handcrafted herbal remedies, education, lifestyle practices, and community impact. With a growing global audience and a grounded approach that blends ancient knowledge with modern application, Jessica has become a trusted voice in holistic healing. She prioritizes truth over trends and transformation over quick fixes.
In this conversation, Jessica opens up about purpose, entrepreneurship, motherhood, and what it truly means to grind pretty while building a legacy rooted in healing, intention, and impact.
You’ve quickly become one of the go-to figures in the herbal healing and holistic wellness space. How does that feel, and what does that responsibility look like for you today?
Honestly, it feels like I’m living in my purpose. It feels like home. Quality health and wellness is a birthright for everyone, so this work is beyond a passion or hobby for me. It’s a divine calling.
As a teacher of holistic wellness, my responsibility is not only to teach others but to live what I teach. The biggest responsibility I carry is embodying the message I wish to impart. Alignment matters.

Grind Pretty is all about beauty, grit, and ambition. What does grinding pretty mean to you as a holistic CEO, mother, and creator of Herbal Renaissance?
Grinding pretty means understanding that while success requires work and dedication, you must always make time for beauty. I’m not just talking about appearance. I’m talking about the beauty of life.
The beauty of rest. The beauty of time with loved ones. The beauty of showing up for yourself. The beauty of building something meaningful. Beauty exists in both the simple and complex moments of life.
When you learn to find beauty around you and within you, it keeps you grounded and balanced. The beauty of life is what keeps us hopeful and optimistic, even during hard seasons.
Every entrepreneur has a catalyst moment. What inspired you to step into herbalism and launch Herbal Renaissance, and when did you realize it was bigger than tea?
Herbalism is how I healed myself from diabetes, insulin resistance, eczema, and chronic allergies in 2015. I had grown tired of taking pills that were not solving my health issues. My health was declining rapidly, and I knew something had to change.
I turned to nature and began learning everything I could. Within six months, my health was completely transformed. Family, friends, and coworkers saw the results and began asking for help. That’s how Herbal Renaissance was born.
I realized it was bigger than tea when people started telling me their lives were changing not just from the herbs, but from the wisdom, encouragement, and perspective I shared through social media and consultations. This started with tea, but it has grown into something much bigger, and I’m just getting started.
There are often misconceptions about holistic health and herbal healing. What’s one thing you wish people truly understood about herbalism and its role in wellness?
One misconception I would love to clear up is that herbs, like any healing modality, are tools. They are not the end all. They are not quick fixes.
True healing requires addressing the root of the issue and shifting away from the habits or conditions that caused imbalance in the first place. If you don’t address the root, herbs become a bandage.
For example, if someone has high blood pressure caused by anxiety, herbs can help reduce inflammation and calm the nervous system. However, the deeper work is identifying the source of that anxiety. Is it financial stress, trauma, hormonal imbalance, or something emotional or spiritual? Until the root is addressed, the issue will continue to resurface.
Your brand has expanded from teas to books, supplements, courses, and now meditation and lifestyle. What guided that evolution, and where do you see the brand growing next?
The evolution was natural. While I love herbs, I understand they are only one part of a much larger wellness ecosystem. As a holistic wellness teacher, my goal is to help people heal physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
As I learn new healing methodologies and apply them to my own life, I get excited to share them. I believe in offering people options, because what works for one person may not work for another.
My brand has expanded as my knowledge has expanded. I’m an avid learner, and I’m fascinated by how infinite the world of healing truly is. Next, we’re expanding into retreats, conferences, and digital products. I’m incredibly excited about what’s coming.
Entrepreneurship in wellness can be spiritually fulfilling and business intensive. What has been the hardest lesson and the greatest reward so far?
The hardest lesson I’ve learned is that I am not here to save anyone. I’m not here to heal anyone. I’m here to inspire people to heal themselves.
For years, I tried to carry people on my back, thinking that was helping. In reality, it weakened them and slowed me down. True help is empowerment.
The greatest reward is seeing people change their lives by doing the work. Watching someone heal stage four cancer, lose 150 pounds, or come off dialysis because they chose accountability is powerful. Those people go on to teach others, and that’s how real transformation multiplies.
The wellness industry is competitive and fast moving. What advice would you give to someone trying to carve out their own lane?
Find what you are genuinely passionate about and identify your unique perspective. Your authenticity and personal style will always outweigh competition.
No one can be you better than you.
When women win, communities win. How does Herbal Renaissance support women’s healing and empowerment beyond the products?
From the beginning, I knew I wanted to employ women, particularly women from minority communities. Out of our ten staff members, eight are women.
We pay a livable wage, provide career advancement and training opportunities, and fund college scholarships and grants for employees and our local community. Most of the businesses we collaborate with are women owned.
When women are supported, communities thrive.
And for fun, when you’re not being “Jessica the Herbalist,” how do you unwind and refill creatively?
I’m an avid traveler. Exploring new countries, cultures, traditions, food, and music feeds my soul. I’ve visited 31 countries over the past ten years and aim to add three to four new ones each year. Travel is romance for my spirit.
Jessica Divine’s story is a reminder that true wellness is not transactional. It is transformational. Through Herbal Renaissance, she continues to challenge how we think about healing, urging people to move beyond surface level solutions and commit to the deeper work required for lasting change.
Her approach is rooted, intentional, and expansive. It proves that building a purpose driven business does not require sacrificing integrity or balance. Instead, it demands alignment, accountability, and the courage to honor both legacy and growth.
As she continues to expand her brand through education, experiences, and community centered initiatives, one thing is clear. Jessica Divine is not simply building a wellness company. She is cultivating a movement grounded in self responsibility, collective healing, and generational impact.
