Meet Jennifer Smith, owner of Magnate Beauty.
GP: How did you get started?
MB:I have a passion for healthy looking skin. I was formerly a high school Health teacher. I have a passion for educating about healthy habits and nutritious meals. Part of heathy skin is determined by fluids and food you put in your body. So I decided to start my own skincare line so I can continue my passion for teaching and Health.
GP: What is your why?
MB:I love seeing others feel good about themselves because when you look better, you feel better. Self esteem plays a major part in your relationships whether personal or business relationship. Once you feel good about yourself, you’ll feel more empowered to demand respect from others. It starts with how you see yourself in the mirror. I want to be a part of the movement of men and women loving who they are when they look in the mirror.
GP: What's unique about your product/service?
MB:Our products are plant based, natural products. They are paraben, sulfate and animal cruelty free. There are products for all skin types and skin tones. We have products for men, women and tweens. It’s very important to start and maintain a skincare routine starting at age 13 years old. We also sell lashes which are the bomb! There are 9 variations of natural looking, mink lashes in 3D and 5D. Uses over 10 times with proper care and cleaning.
GP: Quote or mantra that keeps you going?
MB:Protect your peace. Do what’s best for you. It’s ok to say NO!
GP: Anything new or specific you'd like to promote? If so, could you provide details.
MB: Grind Pretty means that you are motivated and determined to take your business to new heights consistently while developing healthy business relationships. Not only do you look pretty but you feel pretty while you’re grinding. Like I said earlier, when you look good, you feel good.
