Meet Courtney Dionne, the brand creator of The Makeup Drawer and Founder of the lip line Smooch Me by Dionne. Learn how her passion for beauty and wellness was driven by her commitment to promote and support the importance of self-care.
GP: What's your why?
C: I admire the art of makeup and being involved in the beauty industry! I enjoy learning about new trends and educating others about makeup. My everyday goal for my business is for my love for the beauty industry to reflect in my products and services. Beauty is more than just a mere interest for me, it is my passion.
GP: What's unique about your product/service?
C: The services and products that I offer here at The Makeup Drawer, are centered around self expression, by promoting self-care and beauty. Beauty starts with self-love, which in turns boost one's confidence, this way the art of makeup is expressed authentically in a way of enhancing one's appearance and boosting one's self esteem. All of our lip products are named something positive that will consciously or subconsciously contribute to improving a woman's mood. Some of the names of the lipsticks are: worthy, embrace and brave to name a few, we also have a Self-Care Beauty box that is full of nurturing items and beauty products. Sometimes we need a friendly reminder that will motivate us to keep our heads up and stay focused on our goals.
GP: How did you get started?
C: My passion for makeup started at a very young age. I always knew that I wanted to help people and be a part of an industry that involved boosting self confidence by helping women to feel beautiful. At the age of 23 I started my own lip-care line by the name of Smooch Me by Dionne, LLC ( call me the Lippie Connoisseur ) . I enjoy doing beauty consultations and educating others about makeup, as well as matching women up with the perfect lip color. On many occasions I have had the pleasure of collaborating with makeup artists in fashion shows and other production events. Two years ago I decided to expand my brand and services and open up an online beauty store by the name of The Makeup Drawer, LLC, where we contribute to the art of makeup with products, beauty consultations, beauty tips all while promoting the importance of self-care.
